Intermediate/Introduction to Sculling

Intermediate/ Introduction to Sculling classes are for Adult rowers who have completed the Novice  Sweep Class or for rowers who have rowed recreational before, but have been away from rowing for a while and would like a refresher. The course includes 12 two hour classes over 4 weeks.  The days and times are Sat/Sun 6:30 am- 8:30 am. Start date TBD.

All though PRC does some Sweep Rowing the majority of PRC rowing is done in sculling boats. We would like to introduce you to sculling. This class will prepare you to row in sculling boats ranging from singles to quads. During the classes you will learn sculling techniques, boating safety, water safety, and navigation of the Bayou. Rowers will learn the basics of sculling in a training single and sometimes in a double or a quad. Once you have completed the 4 week course, you are eligible to advance to a level 2 rower after taking a skill assessment test.

Class Fee: $200
